Description
I’m excited to share my Cover 10 Bible Games with you! They’re a fun and engaging way to review people in the Bible.
A Quick Disclaimer: When introducing these games to your kiddos, try to avoid using the word “character.” This can imply these people are made up or fictional. I prefer to use the word “people.” If you say, “character,” just be sure you clarify that these were not characters in a fiction story like “The Three Little Pigs.” These were real people who really lived in history.
Cover 10 Bible Games
These games are played in a similar way to BINGO, except kids are attempting to be the first to cover all ten spaces on their boards.
The clue sheet includes THREE clues for each person, which allows you to play three different rounds.
Round one and round two include easier clues. For example, Eve’s clues are:
- She was the first woman made by God.
- She was made from Adam’s rib.
The third clue is a little harder and would be a great fit for older kids who are more versed in accounts from the Bible. It includes a quote that the person said. For example, in the New Testament, who said, “How can someone be born when they are old?” {Nicodemus}

The Old Testament game includes these people: Adam, Eve, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Esau, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, King Saul, David, Goliath, Gideon, Ruth, Elijah, Daniel, Queen Esther, & Job.

The New Testament game includes these people: John the Baptist, Mary {the mother of Jesus}, Elizabeth, Jesus, Gabriel {the angel}*, the wisemen, the shepherds, King Herod, John, Peter, Matthew, Nicodemus, the woman at the well, Zacchaeus, Mary Magdalene, Martha, Pontius Pilate, Philip, Paul, & Barnabas.
Playing the Bible Cover 10 Games
To Prep the Games:
- Print out and cut apart the game boards. Print as many boards as you have players. Choose from color or blackline.
- Give one board to each child along with 10 counters or manipulatives to cover their board.
- Keep the “Cover 10 Clue Sheet” for yourself.
To Play the Games:
- Only call one clue on the clue sheet. Once called, check off the person on the clue sheet so you know you’ve called the clue for him/her. Note: There are three clues with the hardest being in the “Who said this?” column. You can either play three rounds or adapt the game to the age group that’s playing.
- Each player listens to the clue and looks for the person the clue is referring to on their board.
- If a player has the person, they cover the person with a counter/manipulative.
- The first player to cover all 10 people on their board wins! (Make sure you have indeed called the clues for those people.)
