Description
These NO PREP Sneaky e Dot Spelling Pages are a great way to help learners listen for vowel sounds AND think about their spellings. Use them with a small group, place them at a spelling center, or use them for at-home practice.
To use the pages, learners identify the picture, then look at the two spellings below to figure out which way is spelled correctly. The two choices include the short vowel pattern and the long, sneaky e (or silent e) pattern.
Learners can dot the correct spelling with dot paint. If you don’t have dot paint, learners can simply circle the correct spelling with pencil.
The sneaky e patterns covered in this pack include a-e, i-e, o-e, and u-e. Simple CVCe words (like vase, mine, and robe) are included. CCVCe (like plane, chime, or globe) are also included, providing an extra challenge for learners. You’ll also find a handy answer key at the end to save you time when checking learners’ work!
